Welcome to Maple class

Myself and Mrs Khan are very excited to spend time with you all and find out about what you enjoy doing at school.

This term our topic is "Who am I?" which will give us chance to learn about our new friends and find our way around the classroom.

We will also be learning about our senses, our families and looking out for signs of Autumn.

If you have any questions at any time I am always free to chat at the end of each day.

Key texts for our Autumn term

Autumn Term

We have had a great few weeks settling in to our new class and getting to know lots of new friends. Everyone has been fantastic at learning our new routines and trying to be more independent. We have also enjoyed our school dinners and have started PE lessons and Forest School sessions.

Have a look at our photographs to see some of the things we have enjoyed so far. We have been lucky to still have some sunshine to enjoy lots of time exploring and learning outside.

Golden Celebration

Every Friday we have a whole school celebration assembly where children who have been spotted following our GROW values are celebrated. We also celebrate team points, class attendance and birthdays.

Well done to these children who have been noticed following our GROW values.

Children are also spotted every day following our GROW values and move their name onto different sections of the GROW stalk in our classroom.

Please bring your PE bag every term, we will keep it in school.

We will have PE every Thursday, please make sure earrings are removed.

Reading books

Please send your child's reading book and reading record into school every day so we can keep reading in school.

Please try and read with your child at least 4 times a week, this will help them apply their skills and continue to make good progress with their reading.
