Early Years Foundation Stage
In the Early Years Foundation Stage at St James' Church of England Infant's and Nursery school, we believe that children learn best through a balance of child initiated play and adult led activities that are planned to support and develop each child's individual skills and interests.
We use the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and also Birth to 5 Matters curriculum guidance in order to provide the highest quality provision.
Across Foundation Stage we focus on 7 areas of learning, these are split into prime and specific areas.
