At St. James' Infant and Nursery School the children are introduced to our Learning Ladders at the beginning of their Learning Journey.

 

Learning Ladders:

• help children to identify their next steps in their learning
• provide visual prompts and examples for children to use
• promote a sense of achievement as children climb the ladder
• help the children to talk about their learning

 

Learning ladders show 5 steps and are easily differentiated for different groups of children so that they all have the opportunity to make progress within their ladder.
